An Atoll organization is the workspace boundary for members, projects, goals, agents, integrations, and billing.
Recommended setup
Start with one organization per company or client. Use projects for workstreams and teams for access or ownership.
Create the first workspace
- Sign in to Atoll. You can use email/password or Google sign-in when it is available for your account.
- Create an organization.
- Optionally open Learn how Atoll works to see how goals, KPIs, initiatives, milestones, tasks, heartbeat, and agents relate.
- From an empty workspace, owners and admins can choose Set up workspace when they want an editable AI proposal. If setup is already in progress, the action becomes Resume workspace setup.
- If setup has already been applied or skipped, a previous attempt failed, or setup status is temporarily unavailable, use Open onboarding guide and continue manually. Project creation remains available to owners and admins.
- Invite owners/admins first.
- Create a project for the active workstream.
- Add members or teams to the project if visibility is restricted.
- Add agents only after the project has enough context to act on.
New member onboarding
The Learning Canvas is an optional, read-only reference available from workspace navigation. It uses sample content instead of your live workspace so the model is easy to understand:
- Atoll map: how strategy connects to execution
- Goals set direction: the outcome and deadline the team is moving toward
- KPIs measure pace: current value, target, and rate of progress
- Initiatives turn metrics into work: bets become executable through milestones and tasks
- Heartbeat tells agents what matters: the current context an AI reads before choosing its next action
- Agents work inside your access boundary: automation stays within the member’s project access
Members enter the normal workspace directly. Short contextual coachmarks may explain a board, strategy relationship, or successful heartbeat preview when that UI is relevant; each can be dismissed independently. Full tours remain available from their page-level Take tour controls.
Switch between organizations
If you open a workspace-style link while signed out, Atoll may show a neutral
404 page with a sign-in option. This response does not confirm whether the
workspace exists. Sign in, then open the link again.
If you belong to more than one organization, use the organization switcher in the app navigation to move between workspaces without changing accounts. The switcher lists your organizations with recently used workspaces first.
You can also open the command palette with ⌘K on macOS or Ctrl+K on Windows/Linux, type an organization name, and press Enter to switch. Atoll remembers the last route you visited in each organization and returns you there when possible.
Member roles
Project visibility
Projects can be visible to the organization or restricted to selected members/teams. Guests only see projects they are assigned to.
Use teams for durable access groups like Engineering, Design, or Client Success. Use direct project members for exceptions.
